Helping People and Teams Move Forward With Clarity and Purpose

I’m Evan Rautenbach, founder of Beta Life Consulting. I work with individuals, couples, leaders, churches, nonprofit organisations, and teams who want to gain clarity, improve communication, strengthen alignment, and take meaningful practical steps forward.

My Story

Experience that connects People, Leadership and Practical Action

For more than a decade, I have worked alongside people through leadership pressure, personal transitions, relationship challenges, team friction, vocational decisions, and organisational growth. My work has developed through years of church and community leadership, teaching, coaching, mentoring, team development, counselling-informed support, and practical problem-solving.

I understand that people rarely need another generic motivational message. They need a respectful space to think clearly, name what is actually happening, understand the patterns affecting them, and make a realistic plan for what comes next.

That is the purpose of Beta Life Consulting: to help people and teams move from uncertainty, recurring friction, and unclear priorities toward clarity, healthy alignment, and practical action.

How I work…

Thoughtful Questions, Practical Tools, Meaningful Action

My approach is relational, structured, values-aware, and practical. I believe that good coaching does not create dependence on the coach. It helps clients develop greater self-awareness, clearer choices, stronger ownership, and the confidence to act on what matters.

Depending on the client’s goals, our work may include focused coaching conversations, leadership development, relationship-support frameworks, team facilitation, goal setting, role clarity, communication tools, and practical 90-day action planning.

Where appropriate, I use established self-awareness and development tools such as MBTI, DISC, CliftonStrengths®, and The Five Love Languages. These tools can create helpful language for strengths, behavioural preferences, communication patterns, relationship differences, and team dynamics.

The tools are always used to support insight and development—not to label, limit, diagnose, or excuse behaviour.

What to Expect

A clear, Respectful, Confidential Process

When we work together, you can expect:

  • A focused conversation about your context, goals, and desired outcome
  • Respect for your experience, convictions, values, and personal responsibility
  • Honest reflection without judgment or unnecessary jargon
  • Practical tools and clear next steps where helpful
  • Appropriate confidentiality, explained in the coaching agreement
  • A process that is tailored to your needs rather than a one-size-fits-all formula
  • Referral guidance if your needs fall outside the scope of coaching or consulting

You do not need to arrive with perfect answers. You simply need to be willing to engage honestly with what matters and take ownership of the next step.

Professional Scope

Clear boundaries matter

Beta Life Consulting provides coaching, leadership development, facilitation, mentoring, counselling-informed relationship support, and consulting.

These services are not psychotherapy, psychiatric care, medical treatment, crisis intervention, domestic-violence intervention, legal advice, financial advice, psychological assessment, or clinical diagnosis. They do not replace care from an appropriately registered medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional where such care is needed.

Where a client needs specialised or urgent support, I may recommend referral to an appropriate qualified professional or service.
